Check out of the hotel intending to take a ship to Paros, miss the boat, catch the next, then miss Paros, and wind up at Naxos near midnight. theyweretasty
Out too late with hotel staff and guests, we stay another day to rest, lounging like locals living on souvlaki and Mythos, and make island plans. theyweretasty
Exploring Athens, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Acropolis, incredible street art, and go out for evening dancing and karaoke. theyweretasty
Arriving at Athens Airport at night, must wait until morning when the trains run again. Exhausted by the time we make it to the hotel. theyweretasty
Last day in Rome, robbed for plane tickets and time at the station while international bag thieves snatch our companion’s dirty laundry. theyweretasty
Early morning, Saint Peter’s Basilica is mobbed with tourists, so instead we explore the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Circus Maximus. theyweretasty

Train form Florence to Rome, we get separated, reunited, lost together, and find the hotel before an affordable dinner of Roman Chinese food. theyweretasty
Exploring Piazzale degli Uffizi, cross the Arno River via Ponte Vechio, get blessed at San Miniato Al Monte, and sunset at Piazzale Michelangelo. theyweretasty
Unforgettable day, we visit the Leaning Tower of Pisa before taking a train to see the Florence Cathedral Duomo, Belltower, and Baptisery. theyweretasty

A rainy morning in Nice, the weather clears, we attempt St. Nicholas’ Cathedral again, and buy train tickets to Pisa, Italy for the next day. theyweretasty
First morning in Nice, we sleep late and later walk the Promenade des Anglais to the Russian Orthodox Cathedral of St. Nicholas to find it closed. theyweretasty
From Marseilles to Nice by train, we find a hotel with a Mediterranean view, and go for an interesting night walk along the Promenade des Anglais. theyweretasty
