Morning in Laguna Beach,
we take a walk on the beach
before checking out of our room at the Pacific Edge Hotel
and driving on to San Diego, California.
Now Passing through Leucadia, California.
We arrive in San Diego, check into our hotel,
and take a stroll on the boardwalk and the pier.
Someone on the beach cheered for this man, “Michael Phelps!”
The man stopped pedaling to reply, “Marc Spitz. Munich, ’72! Seven gold medals!”
And he pedaled on…
Back at the hotel, we spend the evening self-catering
and people watching the boardwalk and Pacific Ocean
from our hotel room balcony.
The sun sets over the Pacific Ocean as we enjoy another self-catered dinner
and make plans to return to Las Vegas in the morning.
